One new coronavirus case confirmed in Da Nang
A 61-year-old man, a resident of Hai Chau District's Thanh Binh Ward is the latest case confirmed in Da Nang after he tested positve for novel coronavirus, the Ministry of Health said on Sunday morning.

The man has become the 418th patient to be diagnosed with coronavirus in Viet Nam till date.
The latest confirmed patient's medical history includes hypertension and type 2 diabetes, Da Nang Department of Health said.
On 11 July, he was taken to a private clinic on Bac Dau Street in Hai Chau District for medical examinations by his son-in-law after suffering from cough, fatigue, fever and weight loss for a long time.
On 18 July, the patient went to the Emergency Department at the Hai Chau District-based Medical Centre for medical examinations.
Also on the same day, he went to the Emergency Department at the Da Nang General Hospital by himself, and was then transferred to the hospital's Department of Internal Respiratory Medicine (Room 506) for further medical treatment. Here, the patient developed cough and white sputum and shortness of breath.
On 23 July, the patient was transfered to the hospital's Positive Resuscitation Department because his health condition took a turn for the worse.
In the afternoon of 24 July, staff of the Da Nang Centre for Disease Control (CDC) took the man's throat swabs and blood serum samples for tests, and his test results came back positive one day later.
The samples of the city’s new case reported by the Da Nang CDC have been sent to the Nha Trang Pasteur Institute to test again. As a result, test results from the Institute’s lab came back positive which were the same as the Da Nang CDC carried out.
Over the past month, the man has stayed only in Da Nang, rarely gone out of his residential area, and said he had not been in close contact with any foreigners.
Within 14 days before illness onset, the man went to the Da Nang General Hospital to take care of his sick birth father.
Late June, the man went to his own rental property on Y Lan Nguyen Phi Street in Hai Chau District's Hoa Cuong Bac Ward to collect rental fees from his tenants.
In addition, the patient is a member of a poetry club but he has not been participated in the club's activities for a long time.
The man is being treated at the Da Nang General Hospital and he is put on ventilation.
The source of the infection is unclear, and Da Nang's health officials are undertaking contact tracing to prevent the infection spreading further.
On Saturday, health workers already disinfected the Hai Chau District Medical Centre.

Doctors and nurses from the Emergency Recovery Department of the Cho Ray Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City came to Da Nang on Saturday to support the treatment of Viet Nam's 416th Covid-19 patient who requires critical care at the Da Nang General Hospital.
Medical workers from Ho Chi Minh City are Dr Tran Thanh Linh, Deputy Head of the Cho Ray Hospital's Emergency Recovery Department, Dr Ngo Viet Anh and nurse Nguyen Van Hai. They directly treated Viet Nam's most critically ill case - the British pilot.
Upon arrival, Ho Chi Minh City's doctors worked with their colleagues at the Da Nang General Hospital to hold an urgent consultation to determine the most appropriate treatment for the patient.
Till date, Da Nang has traced 294 people who are close contacts of Viet Nam's 416th coronavirus case confirmed in the city. All of them have been in quarantine and monitored for symptoms of the virus. On Saturday morning, all of them tested negative for new strain of the virus.
Da Nang's C Hospital put into lockdown on virus outbreak fears
The Da Nang C Hospital was put into lockdown on 24 July after Viet Nam's 416th coronavirus case confirmed in the city who had came to the hospital for a medical examination tested positive for the virus on the same day.
The hospital is adapting so its 487 staff members can continue to treat and care for their 474 inpatients during the lockdown.
The Da Nang government has issued quarantine order to the hospital for the sake of public health amid coronavirus outbreak.
Dr Nguyen Trong Thien, Director of the C Hospital, said, during their 14-day quarantine period at the hospital, inpatients are not allowed be discharged or transferred to other hospitals.
"Currently, medicines and other medical supplies are sufficient for healthcare services at the hospital during the lockdown period. All the quarantined are served with 3 meals per day" Dr Thien added.
