298 million VND raised to help poor women in the city amid coronavirus crisis

The Da Nang Women's Union made its support appeals entitled ‘Da Nang’s Women - Sharing Love and Warmth’ on 29 July in a bid to raise funds from generous philanthropists across Viet Nam for Da Nang's poor women affected by the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

As of 6 August, the Union have received 298 million VND in cash and in-kind donations from 53 generous individuals and organisations across the country.

Most recently, the Da Nang Women's Union and the city's Female Entrepreneurs' Association presented gifts, worth 140 million VND, to frontline medical workers in Da Nang.

Da Nang Young Entrepreneurs Association provides medical supplies to support the city’s efforts to tackle Covid-19

On Friday afternoon, the Da Nang Young Entrepreneurs’ Association donated medical supplies, totalling 655 million VND, to the Medical Centres in Hoa Vang and Thanh Khe districts, and the Da Nang Lung Hospital, to support these medical facilities’ efforts in the combat against the deadly virus.

The donations consisted of 5 patient monitoring devices, valued at 80 million VND each, 10 electric automatic injection pumps, worth at 24 million VND each, and 4 carton boxes of N95 respirators totalling 15 million VND .

Previously, the Association had donated medical supplies, valued at 661 million VND in total, to some medical facilities in the city.
