Employees of government agencies and departments, as well as those of political and social organisations, across Viet Nam will officially have one day off work for the National Day on Wednesday, 2 September, according to the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs.

In Da Nang, local agencies, businesses, families and vessels anchoring in the Han River are all required to fly the national flag of Viet Nam on 2 September.

Meanwhile, local government agencies and domestic businesses are asked to fly the national flag of Viet Nam and the flag of the Communist Party of Viet Nam at their headquarters during the public holiday.

The heads of local agencies are urged to arrange for some of their employees to remain on duty, as well as to ensure security and order over the holiday period.
