Full deployment of medical workforce and equipment ensured for treatment of Covid-19
During his inspection visits on Friday morning to the Da Nang Lung Hospital and the Hoa Vang Field Hospital for Covid-19 patients, Da Nang Party Committee Deputy Secretary Nguyen Van Quang affirmed the city's strong stance on ensuring full deployment of medical workforce and equipment for the treatment of Covid-19 patients. In tandem with this pledge, supply of personal protective equipment for minimising the risk of infection at workplace, and appropriate nutrition and rest regimes for the frontline medical workers at these medical establishments will also be guaranteed.

Inspecting the coronavirus treatment at the Da Nang Lung Hospital, Deputy Secretary Quang highly appreciated the great efforts and mutual professional support among the hospital’s medical staff and the intensive medical experts from such domestically renowned hospitals as Bach Mai and Cho Ray in saving the lives of the virus-catching patients here.
In particular, the intensive care unit (ICU), also known as intensive therapy units, at this hospital has operated progressively and effectively, thereby bringing up positive signs in the treatment of Covid-19 patients, especially severe cases who already have a pre-existing medical condition.

Doctor Le Thanh Phuc, the hospital’s Director said the treatment of Covid -19 patients has been on the right track.
Encouragingly, some of patients being treated for coronavirus at the hospital become disconnected from the ventilator, and they are on their paths to recovery. Meanwhile, a female patient tested negative for the virus thrice, and she is showing health improvements.

During his working visit to the Hoa Vang Field Hospital, Mr Quang affirmed the positive fact that the enhancement of the specialised capacity of this medical establishment can open up a bright promise in the treatment of infectious diseases here, in the time ahead.

The hospital’s medical staff now consists of 300 members, of whom 155 were sent from other local medical facilities.
The 200-bed isolation treatment area dedicated for the virus-affected patients features with advanced medical equipment, including 14 dialysis machines, and 12 ventilators in a bid to promptly support the treatment of Covid-19 patients.
Today, 14 July, the Hoa Vang Field Hospital discharged ten more patients being treated for the coronavirus after they had recovered from their illness and tested negative for the virus at least thrice, bringing total recoveries in this hospital till date to 20.

On Friday morning, Deputy Secretary Quang handed hospital discharge papers to recovered people, asking them to strictly comply with post-discharge self- quarantine measures at their places of residence following the Health Ministry’s guidelines.
