The city's business community joins the fight against coronavirus pandemic
The business community in Da Nang is using its strengths, expertise and initiative to support the city's efforts to tackle the Covid-19 pandemic.

Currently, some road transport service providers are providing free transportation for healthcare workers in a bid to help them to go to houses of non-hospitalised patients to provide care for them and monitor their health, or to travel between healthcare facilities. In addition, they is offering free transportation for food and essential supplies to the needy in Da Nang amid the coronavirus crisis.
In particular, the Long Hien Transport Tourist and Trading Service Co.,Ltd., has arranged five 45-seater and two 29-seater tourist coaches for transporting doctors, patients and tourists stranded in Da Nang.
Meanwhile, the Phu Hoang Transportation and Services JSC (Taxi Tien Sa) is using its 7-seater taxis available to carry healthcare workers engaged in the treatment of Covid-19 patients.
Mr Ngo Bao Thien, General Secretary of the Da Nang Tourist Transport Association, said about 30 over 16-seater vehicles are available for free transportation to support frontline staff and key workers.
Mr Thien also remarked that all drivers are required to practise the city's social distancing rules, and they are asked to use personal protective equipment including masks, sanitizers, and disinfectants to sanitize their vehicles after their journeys end.
“Also, drivers will be placed in isolation for 14 days in local designated sites or medical facilities after ending their jouneys to carry frontline healthcare workers and patients”, Mr Thien noted.
According to Director of Co.op Mart Da Nang Phan Thong, Co.op Mart Da Nang is supplying food and daily necessities to medical facilities in the city as per request from the municipal People’s Committee. Till date, 10 tonnes of goods have been delivered to medical facilities citywide.
On 31 July, the Da Nang Young Entrepreneurs’ Association donated medical supplies, totalling 630 million VND, to the Hoa Vang District Medical Centre and the Da Nang Lung Hospital. The medical supplies comprised 2 Stellar 100 ventilators, worth 195 million VND each, and 10 electric automatic injection pumps, valued at 24 million VND each.
Also, the Association donated 20 heart rate and oxygen saturation monitors, totalling 31 million VND, and 10,000 surgical masks, valued at 14 million VND, to the Da Nang Department of Health.
The Da Nang Association of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises has raised 120 million VND in cash from its member to buy medical equipment for medical facilities in the city.
