On Friday, the Da Nang Coastal Information Station received a SOS message from the distressed Panama pipelay crane vessel, called SAPURA 3500, which was en route from the Pasir Gudang Port in Malaysia to the Taichung Port in China's Taiwan.

It was reported that two foreign crew members onboard suffered serious injuries after an unexpected labour accident whilst the boat was about 360 nautical miles southeast off the Da Nang coast.

After receiving a report about distressed crew member, the Station urged the foreign ship to immediately bring the victim back to the Da Nang mainland for further treatment.
