Cold and wet weather forecast this week for Da Nang
Over the coming days, rainy and cold conditions will continue to prevail in Da Nang and elsewhere in the mid-central region as an intense cold front, combined with eastern wind turbulence at high attitude, is spilling into the hard-hit region, the Mid-Central Region Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting announced.
The forecasters also made a projection on northwestern winds levels 2-3 for parts of mid-central region, whilst winds level 6, with a gust of level 8, and heavy rough seas, are likely to be seen in the waters off their coast.
From now onwards, a vast stretch from Quang Tri to Quang Ngai, including Da Nang are getting soaked with moderate and heavy downpours lashing many of their parts.
Quang Tri, Quang Binh and Thua Thien-Hue are feeling the presence of the cold snap as the temperatures are on downward trend to go down to only 19 - 21 degrees Celsius, especially chills reported at dawn and night.
Likewise, Da Nang and its neighbours of Quang Nam and Quang Ngai are seeing the mercury plummet to be as low as 20 - 23 degrees Celsius.
