60,890 houses to be built in Da Nang over next 5 years
During the 2018-2020 period, Da Nang has already built more than 9,264,321m² of housing at a total cost of 55,210 billion VND.
In particular, approximately 132 billion VND of funding from the national and municipal governments have been poured into building new houses or repairing downgraded ones for 4,056 social policy families across Da Nang.
About 979 billion VND has gone to construct 2,450 affordable housing units for low-income earners, with a total floor area of 101,570 m². Of which, 411 billion VND has been funded by Da Nang government, whilst the remaining 568 billion VND has come from social housing developers.
In addition, 4,952 apartments, and 3,568 terraced houses and villas in commercial housing projects, have been developed across the city during the 2018-2020 period
Over the 2021-2025 period, Da Nang plans to build a combined total of 60,890 houses on an area of 2,419.26 ha. The total cost of the construction work is expected to be 101,490 billion VND. Of this figure, around 7,700 billion VND will be used to build 9,680 affordable housing units for low-income earners, about 51,300 billion VND for 26,850 units in commercial housing projects, and 160 billion VND for 160 resettlement apartments.
