Earlier on Wednesday morning, staff of the Son Tra District Medical Centre took a combined throat and nose swab of these people. They were also asked to stay at home while waiting for their test results.

Previously, the Son Tra District authorities had ordered temporary shutdown of the Phuoc My Market from 0:00am on May 5 until further notice.

The move came as the latest COVID-19 infected woman in the city had visited this place before receiving a positive result. Here, the woman came into close contact with many stall holders who did not wear face masks.

In addition, tests on 672 medical workers and patients at the Hoan My Hospital where a 23-year-old man infected with COVID-19, a resident of Hoi An City, had came for a medical checkup before receiving a positive result have came back negative for the virus once, the Da Nang Centre for Disease Control (CCDC Da Nang) announced on Wednesday evening.
