The Da Nang authorities are handling a COVID-19 rule violating case under which the Xuan Tung Gold karaoke parlor, located at 161 Ngu Hanh Son Street, My An Ward, the namesake district, still operated and offered services to a group of five revellers.

A record of the karaoke parlor’s administrative violation has been made so far, and all of the violators have been taken to the headquarters of the My An Ward Police for having their swabs taken to test for the virus.

Earlier on May 4, the municipal administration imposed a ban on the operation of non-essential businesses and services, including bars, karaoke and massage parlors, discotheques, entertainment spots, electronic games, theaters, casinos, public internet services, pedestrian streets and night markets as part of the city's efforts to control COVID-19.

Also on Tuesday, the Da Nang representative office of Vina Link Group JSC, which specialises in the multilevel marketing business, at 21 Tran Quoc Toan Street, was found red-handed letting more than 100 people stay in one office room during local police’s surprise inspection. Such a highly-concerning violation act really posed a high threat of coronavirus spread.

As observed by the Hai Chau District authorities, the above-mentioned people, including the company’s staff members, customers, and distributors, failed to keep a safe distance from others.

The incident went against the currently- in- force regulations mandated by the municipal authorities on the suspension of gatherings of more than 30 people.

The district’s authorities made a record of the representative office’s administrative violation.
