Accordingly, all citywide medical facilities must be ready for admitting and treating COVID-19 patients.
Specialised hospitals are required to ensure professional support supplies or receive COVID-19 patients, with an average of 20 - 30 treatment beds each, depending on their size.
The Da Nang Lung Hospital will still be in charge of treating severely and critically-ill COVID-19 patients.
Depending on the real situations around the current virus resurgence in the city and the capacity of medical examination and treatment facilities, the municipal authorities can mobilise the city-based hospitals under national government ministries and agencies such as the 199 and C hospital, and C17 Military Hospital to get involved in the COVID-19 treatment.
The Hoa Vang District Health Centre will treat both suspected and confirmed COVID-19 patients who are in need of renal dialysis. If the number of cases requiring renal dialysis exceeds the designed treatment capacity of this district-level establishment, the local authorities will engage the above-mentioned city-based hospitals under national government ministries and agencies in the treatment.
More specifically, if the number of COVID-19 cases is less than 120 cases (both adults and children), treatment will be made at the Lung Hospital and the Hoa Vang District Medical Centre.
In case the number of infections ranges from 121 to 500, treatment should be arranged at the Hoa Vang District Medical Centre (from case No. 121 to 300), the Transport Hospital (No. 301 - 400) and the Rehabilitation Hospital (No. 401 - 500).
If there are between 500 and 1,000, treatment will be made at the Hospital 199 (No. 500 - 600, Hospital C (No. 601 - 700, and C17 Military Hospital (No. 701 - 750), the Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Hospital (No. 751 - 800), and the district-level medical centres of Lien Chieu, Cam Le, Ngu Hanh Son, Thanh Khe, Son Tra and Hai Chau (No. 801 - 1,000).
When the number of cases exceeds 1,000, depending on the severity of the pandemic, the local authorities will continue to send an appeal to private medical facilities for their participations.
