The Hai Chau District authorities forced the Dong Da traditional market to temporarily close on Friday morning as a suspected COVID-19 case had frequently gone to this market to buy things for her family’s daily needs.

The district authorities have identified this place as potentially being at high risk of COVID-19, and imposed a temporary close order on this place.

Medical workers will collect a combined throat and nose swab of all stall holders at this market to test for COVID-19 on Friday morning, and their test results will be available within tomorrow, May 8.

All stall holders are urged to stay at home and limit their contact with others while waiting for their coronavirus test results, the Da Nang traditional markets' management board said.

The spraying of chemical disinfectants were carried out in this place and surrounding areas in order to curb the spread of the virus.
