53 medical employees in Da Nang leave for HCM City to help beat COVID-19

Da Nang-based Hospital 199 under the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security on Monday morning held a ceremony to see off a delegation of 53 medical employees leaving for HCM City to help it contain the ongoing COVID-19 resurgence in response to an appeal issued by the Ministry.

The delegation consisted of 17 doctors, 28 nurses, 6 technicians and 2 pharmacists, all of whom possess experience in pandemic prevention and control missions in the city and have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Addressing at the see-off ceremony, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security praised the Hospital 199 staff members for upholding the sense of responsibility and strong determination in supporting HCM Cit, one of Viet Nam's largest COVID-19 epicentres at present, to win the fight against COVID-19.

Doctor Truong Xuan Hung, the Deputy Director of the 199 Hospital cum Head of the dispatched medical team said he and other members will do their utmost within their potential and capabilities to effectively fulfill their assigned task, thus contributing to helping HCM City fight against COVID-19.

“We will make home comeback once the pandemic in HCM City is put under control”, said doctor Hung.
