All 1,172 staff members at the Da Nang Administrative Centre have tested negative for COVID-19, Doctor Ton That Thanh, the Director the Da Nang Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced on Monday evening.

Earlier on Monday morning, medial workers from the Hai Chau District Medical Centre took a combined throat and nasal swab of these people to test for the virus.

Test, trace and isolate are the main pillars of Da Nang’s COVID-19 control measures. Hence, the Da Nang CDC has performed a 'pooled test' with samples of up to 10 people in order to save time and resources, as well as to get the pandemic under control. If pooled sample is positive all individual samples in that “pool” group are tested. If the pooled sample is negative assume all samples within the pool are negative.

Amid the complex developments of COVID-19, the Da Nang Administrative Centre has already put in place the strictest health measures in order to protect the safety of the centre’s staff and its visitors. All visitors to the centre are required to wear a face mask, disinfect their hands, have their body temperature checked, and declare their health status.
