Da Nang reports no new locally acquired cases of COVID-19
Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Le Quang Nam on Saturday afternoon called for better interagency coordination to tighten controls at points of entry, and enhance surveillance to detect illegal aliens or undocumented immigrants in the city.

Mr Nam also called on officials to be "proactive, not subjective" in the city’s coronavirus measures, and take prompt and drastic action to curb the spread of the virus amid the complex developments of COVID-19.
Vice Chairman Nam particularly praised the work of staff at COVID-19 checkpoints which timely detect symptomatic people.
The city leader also urged every one across the city to have a role to play in the ongoing fight against the deadly virus by timely detecting and reporting of suspect cases.
“In addition to testing candidates and involved staff of the upcoming national high school graduation exams for COVID-19, the health agency must work with the municipal Department of Education and Training and relevant units to create an action plan to make sure that candidates sit their exams safely and securely”, Mr Nam directed.
Vice Chairman highlighted the importance of COVID-19 screening tests for target groups in having an accurate picture of the spread of the virus in the city.
Da Nang on Saturday (July 3) reported no new locally acquired cases of COVID-19, the Da Nang Centre for Disease Control’s figure shows. Thus, the total cases in Da Nang remain at 87.
The task force staffing checkpoints at entry points has so far conducted COVID-19 related stop checks on 27,655 vehicles entering the city, during which, 53 vehicles were denied entry into Da Nang, 41,763 arrivals had their body temperature measured and were required to complete a compulsory health declaration form.
