Da Nang rolls out Phase 4 of COVID-19 vaccinations
Da Nang is launching the next phase of COVID-19 vaccinations and Phase 4 will make 1,170 more people eligible to receive their first dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine from July 24-25 with priority given to people with long-term health conditions. They are 299 patients who are being treated in the Da Nang General Hospital and the Da Nang Cancer Hospital, 320 healthcare workers, 119 people who are carrying out their missions in the COVID-19 field hospital in the west of the city, 181 people who are at higher risk of getting COVID-19 infection, and 251 others aged over 65 across the city.
In total, nearly 70,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccince will be administered in Da Nang during Phase 4.

The Ministry of Health has planned to deliver 30,000 doses of the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine, 5,850 doses of Pfizer-BioNTech and 33,600 others of Moderna for Phase 4 of the city’s COVID-19 vaccine campaign. 1,170 doses of Pfizer vaccine have already arrived in Da Nang and an additional 16,800 doses of Moderna are expected to be delivered in next week.
Till date, more than 33,000 people across Da Nang have got inoculated against the virus during three phases of COVID-19 vaccinations.

Across Da Nang, 117 healthcare workers were vaccinated in phase 1 of the city's vaccination programme on March 12 while more than 8,200 people received their shots in the next phase from April 26 to May 15. Vaccine recipients in phase 2 were 6,989 healthcare workers, 242 people working in steering committees for COVID-19 prevention and control at municipal and district levels, 541 people working in the Da Nang Airport, 191 journalists, 415 staff members in quarantine hotels, 541 Border Guards.
Doctor Ton That Thanh, the Director of the municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said that phase 3 of COVID-19 vaccination drive from June 18 to 21 made 24,711 people eligible to be vaccinated, of whom, 108 got their second doses and the remainders received their first shots.
