First flight bringing home Da Nang citizens from HCMC arrives in the city

At around 11:30 am on Wednesday, July 21, flight VN122, operated by the national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines, landed at the Da Nang International Airport, bringing home the first 168 Da Nang natives. These people had been stuck in HCMC, the largest COVID-19 epicentre in Viet Nan for the time being.

Today is witnessing 3 repatriation flights carrying a combined total of Da Nang residents back to their hometowns.

Such flights are organised by the Da Nang government and the Association of Da Nang Compatriots in HCMC amid the complicated developments of COVID-19 in the country’s largest metropolis and southern provinces.

Da Nang citizens who receive assistance for their home combacks free of charge also receive VND 500,000 each in financial support, and get COVID-19 tests and medical care at no cost.
