No new COVID-19 cases recorded in Da Nang on Sept.18
On September 18, Da Nang did not record any coronavirus cases, the municipal Steering Board of COVID-19 Prevention and Control said.
During the day, more than 20,000 local residents across the city had their nasal swab samples taken for COVID-19 testing, 18,649 of whom tested for the virus via the RT-PCR technique whilst the rest were subject to the rapid antigen testing.
Since September 7, the ongoing ‘one door- one test’ campaign has been conducted on more than 518,000 household representatives citywide.
For the time being, there are 32 blockaded areas across the city with links to previous COVID-19 infections, housing 3,738 households with a combined total of 13,715 residents.
Particularly, Son Tra and Ngu Hanh Son are two localities in Da Nang to have been recognised as ‘green districts’ which are now free from the virus with no sealed off sites.
Till date, 34 out of the total 56 communes and wards citywide have been labelled as ‘green zones’.
They are the communes of Hoa Bac, Hoa Khuong, Hoa Tien, Hoa Phu, Hoa Lien, Hoa Nhon, Hoa Phong, Hoa Phuoc and Hoa Ninh in Hoa Vang District, the wards of An Hai Bac, Man Thai, An Hai Tay, An Hai Dong, Phuoc My, Nai Hien Dong and Tho Quang in Son Tra District, the wards of Hoa Quy, Hoa Hai, My An and Khue My in Ngu Hanh Son District, the wards of Phuoc Ninh, Nam Duong, Hai Chau 1, Hoa Cuong Nam, Binh Thuan and Binh Hien in Hai Chau District, the wards of Hoa Khe, Thanh Khe Dong, Thac Gian, Chinh Gian and Xuan Ha in Thanh Khe District, the wards of Khue Trung and Hoa Tho Tay in Cam Le District and Hoa Khanh Bac Ward in Lien Chieu District.
Since July 10, Da Nang’s COVID-19 infection tally has climbed to 4,604, of which 1,101 were in Hai Chau District, 894 in Son Tra District, 770 in Cam Le District, 259 in Ngu Hanh Son, 959 in Thanh Khe District, 391 in Lien Chieu District, 191 in Hoa Vang District and 39 returning to the city from other coronavirus-stricken localities.
