The Da Nang Labour Union on Thursday, September 30, honoured outstanding children of its members in the city.

Accordingly, scholarships, valued at VND 1 million each, were granted to 7 pupils who gained excellent academic results in the already-concluded 2020 - 2021 school year. Meanwhile, scholarships, worth VND 500,000 each, were given to 25 poor studious pupils.

Additionally, two pupils in difficult circumstances received VND 1 million each which is the interest on a savings account of the Golden Heart Fund.

During the 2020-2021 academic year, the Da Nang Labour Union honoured and presented scholarships totalling VND 253.5 million, to a sum of 369 outstanding children of its members citywide. The recipients achieved good results in the last academic year and were awarded prizes in all-level exams for outstanding students.

The granting of the scholarships aimed to encourage them to continue to overcome their difficulties and achieve good academic results in the face of the complicated developments of the COVID-19 resurgence.
