What are the restrictions in areas at COVID-19 alert level 3 in Da Nang?
Following latest decision by the Da Nang Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, Nai Hien Dong and An Hai Bac wards in Son Tra District will move from level 2 into level 3 of the city’s four-tier coronavirus alert system from 6:00 am on November 14 as the two wards have emerged as new hot spots for coronavirus cases.
New restrictions will be put in place in the two wards, and will come into effect at 6:00am on Sunday, November 14 until further notice. The affected areas cover the parts from the north of the Han River Bridge and the west of Ngo Quyen Street to the border of Nai Hien Dong Ward along with the entire Nai Hien Dong Ward.

Certificates confirming full vaccination against COVID-19 or recovery from recent COVID-19 infection (typically during the last 6 months) are compulsory for persons living in areas at alert level 3 moving into other areas at alert levels 1 and 2 in the city.
Compliance with the 5K recommendations of the Ministry of Health and the use of QR codes are compulsory for crowded venues.
Leaders of agencies, organizations, businesses and areas where people arrive in from areas at alert level 3 must take responsibility for keeping a close watch on these people in order to make sure that they strictly observe the city’s COVID-19 guidelines.
Residents in areas at alert level 3 are prohibited from entering red zones and medical isolation areas, unless with the approval of local authorities.
Certificates confirming full vaccination against COVID-19 or recovery from COVID-19 infection during the last 6 months are compulsory for those who want to participate in business activities, or attend cultural and sports events, other social events.
A ceiling of not more than 20 persons for indoor gatherings and no more than 50 persons for organised outdoor events will apply in the above-mentioned activities and events where 100% of the persons attending are either fully vaccinated or recovered from Covid-19 within the previous six months. Strictest public health measures must be put in place at indoor gatherings and organised outdoor events in order to prevent the spread of the virus.
No more than 20 people can meet in a private home for birthday celebrations and other parties.
Drinking and eating establishments are not allowed to provide table service and are only allowed to offer takeways. Other service establishments are allowed to remain open but maximum capacity of clients inside these venues at any one time will not exceed 20 with 2-metre physical distancing required.
Such non-essential services as beauty salons (except for hairdressing establishments), karaoke bars, massage parlors, night clubs, casinos, public internet access points, and points of service providing electronic games in public will remain closed. Maximum capacity of clients inside the hairdressing establishment and at any one time will not exceed 3.
50% capacity cap will put on traditional and wholesale markets but stallholders and patrons must subject to all masking and distancing requirements. Stallholders are required to use nylon sheets around their stalls to avoid direct contact with their customers. Strictest health and safe measures will be put in place in these venues, allowing space for social distancing between stall holders and ensuring strict compliance with the recommended preventive measures amongst stallholders and patrons.
