Tran Thi Da, a sanitation worker of the Central Region branch of the Ha Noi-based Urban Environment Co., Ltd., (URENCO), is mentioned with much love by many people in the residential group No 23 in Hoa Hiep Bac Ward, Lien Chieu District, because of her dedication and high sense of responsibility to her work. Also, she is full of energy and always has the will to rise up in life.

A native of Nghe An Province moved to Da Nang to work and build a family. It seemed that happiness smiled at her family when she gave birth to three children and had a stable job.

However, her first son was born with a brain disease and became paralysed. Her tragedy has not stopped as her husband suddenly had a stroke, so he cannot shoulder the heavy work in the family. The pain piled up, it seemed that Da couldn't help it, but she tried to recover from grief to earn money to make ends meet.

Despite her own disadvantages in life, the powerful and resilient woman never lets her personal affairs affect her work at the company.

Da said that she has worked as a sanitation worker since 2005 but she is always proud of what she is doing: beautifying streets and neighborhoods.

When working at the Central Region branch of URENCO, Da is assigned the main tasks of clearing major downtown streets in Hoa Hiep Bac Ward. However, regardless of difficulties and dangers, she is always devoted to her work, and

Over the past time, although her job has been only sticked to a broom, a shovel, a trash can, a garbage truck, etc., she has never felt discouraged. Whether it's hot or windy days, she still works hard to clean the streets and neighbourhoods.

Mrs. Van Thi Nga, the Chairwoman of the Trade Union cum Head of the General Planning Office of the Central Region branch of URENCO, said that Da is not only industrious, exemplary and dedicated to her work, but also has a sense of saving for the agency through her practical jobs such as using and preserving well working tools, and actively encouraging her teammates to preserve and use them economically and effectively.

On the other hand, not only does she do well in her professional work, she also is active in encouraging residents to well implement regulations on environmental sanitation, including dumping garbage in the right place as prescribed, and no littering in public space.

Director of the Central Region branch of URENCO Ngo Le Quang said that although Da has only been working at his company for 3 years, she has contributed to creating a green - clean - beautiful environment in the areas where the Central Region branch of URENCO collects and treats waste.
