Free 4G SIM cards given to international visitors to Da Nang
On Wednesday, about 150 international air passengers on Singapore Airlines-operated flight SQ172 and Thai Vietjet Air-operated flight VZ960 were presented 4G Vinaphone SIM cards upon arrival at Da Nang International Airport.

The SIM card presentation programme was jointly organised by the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Centre, the Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company, and the city’s branch of the Viet Nam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT Da Nang).
The intention of the programme is to leave strong impression on international tourists to Da Nang; meet their needs for communication, connection and information searching; and increase their experience via the internet.
Under the programme, more than 50,000 4G Vinaphone SIM cards will be given free of charge to international tourists at tourist information counters at the international passenger terminal of Da Nang International Airport from April to June.
With each free SIM, visitors will immediately have 2GB of data/day and 1,000 on-net minutes within 30 days from the date of activation.

Since Da Nang reopened international flight routes in March, the city’s aviation and tourism industry has received positive signals when 29 flights, carrying a total of 2,560 international visitors, have landed at Da Nang International Airport.
It is expected that in the near future, flights from Singapore, Japan, Thailand and Malaysia to Da Nang will be operated with a frequency of 41 flights/week.
According to the Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company, as of April 19, 14 airlines had been licensed to operate on international routes to Da Nang, including: Singapore Airlines, Thai Vietjet, Jetstar Asia, T'ways, Air Asia, Thai Air Asia, Cambodia Angkor Air, Hongkong Express, Vietnam Airlines, and Jeju Air.
