Post-COVID-19 healthcare advices given for employees

A post-COVID-19 healthcare consultation workshop has taken place for nearly 400 Trade Union officials, members and workers operating in the Da Nang Hi-Tech Park and local industrial parks (IPs).

The event was part of the on-going coordination programme between the Trade Union and the Authority of the Da Nang Hi-tech Park and Industrial Zones (DHPIZA) and the Da Nang-based Hospital 199 under the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security) to provide guidance on how to take care of their health, aiming to facilitate many workers to receive early and effective post-COVID-19 care and treatment services.

According to Chairman of the Trade Union of DHPIZA Nguyen Thanh Trung, a recent incomplete statistics showed that 16,000 workers have contracted COVID-19. After recovery, they have still suffered from functional disorders and symptoms.

The consultancy event was a highly practical and meaningful programme to concretize the Trade Union's care activities for its members and employees amidst the complicated developments of the pandemic. Also, it helped raise the sense of responsibility of enterprises in taking care of their employees' health, ensuring occupational safety and health in production and business activities.

After the consulting workshop, the 199 Hospital offered medical check-ups, consultations and care for employees, aiming to build a strong workforce both in terms of health and spirit to participate in labour and production effectively.

Post-COVID-19 syndrome includes many different symptoms, affecting many organ systems such as fatigue, shortness of breath, prolonged cough, pulmonary fibrosis, blood clots, tachycardia, nervousness, headache, anxiety, insomnia, difficulty concentrating, loss of smell and taste, muscle and joint pain, anorexia and digestive disorders.
