The Da Nang People's Committee has sent a document to government departments and agencies, and tourism service providers, on ensuring order security and tourists’ safety during the tourism peak season in the new normal.

Accordingly, the Departments of Tourism, Culture and Sports, Transport, Construction, Natural Resources and Environment, Industry and Trade, Foreign Affairs, Information and Communication, Health, and public Security, along with district-level authorities are asked to ensure equipment, human resources, traffic safety and security, food safety and hygiene, environmental sanitation, and fire prevention and firefighting over the forthcoming public holiday.

The focus will be on strictly implementing the city's rules on displaying the prices of their products, and selling them at the prices displayed, organising shopping stimulus programmes, and promoting the advertisement of Vietnamese goods and OCOP products to meet the shopping demand of customers.

The aforementioned units are urged to promote the publicity of the city's festivals, cultural and tourism events on public holidays, Tet and tourism peak seasons.

District-level authorities are urged to take more effective measures to stop the harassment of tourists and deal with itinerant beggars and street vendors.

The municipal Tourism Association and its members, and the Tourism Promotion Fund are directed to develop new and special tourism products to lure more tourists to the city in tandem with ensuring COVID-19 prevention and control measures.

It is strictly forbidden to allow tourist to take part in recreational water sports services in bad weather, and use vehicles and equipment that have not been tested for safety or are damaged.

For accommodation establishments, it is necessary to reserve at least 5-10% of the number of empty rooms out of the total number of rooms to serve guests in case of incidents.
