28-year-old Pham Thi My H., residing in Hoa Phong Commune, Hoa Vang District, Da Nang, was arrested for fraudulent appropriation of property, police in the Crime Investigation Division of the Hoa Vang Department of Public Security in Da Nang said on Tuesday.

According to an indictment, in late 2020, through an acquaintance relationship, T.M.T, a male resident of Hoa Nhon Commune, Hoa Vang District, asked for help from Pham Thi My H. to apply for a job at Da Nang International Airport.

At this time, even though she stopped working at the airport and was unable to apply for a job, H. still promised to let Mr. T. work as an airport security officer at Da Nang International Airport with the amount of VND330 million.

On March 31, 2021, H. made an appointment to meet Mr. T in his personal car on Le Dinh Duong Street, Hai Chau District. At that time, H. received VND10 million from Mr. T. with a job application.

On April 3, 2021, H. continued to receive VND100 million from Mr.T. at a coffee shop in Tuy Loan Dong 1 Village, Hoa Phong Commune, Hoa Vang District, and wrote a money receipt. H. committed that Mr.T would receive a decision to participate in an aviation security training course within 3 months.

Then, H. told Mr. T., if he gave enough money, he could go to work without joining the training course.

Mr. T. repeatedly transferred money to Hang's account number. The total amount H. received from Mr. T was about VND330 million. Then, H. lent Mr. N.M.D, residing in Hoa Xuan Ward, Cam Le District, all the money, but did not ask for a job for Mr.T.  

On September 16, 2021, Mr.T. waited too long but still couldn't go to work, so he asked to take his money back but H. did not return it. Therefore, Mr. T. reported the case to the Hoa Vang District Department of Public Security.

Through verification by the police, in addition to receiving money from Mr. T., Pham Thi My H. also received an amount of VND78 million from Mr. P.V.B, a resident of Hoa Khanh Bac Ward, Lien Chieu District under the promise of apply for Mr. B. to work as a loader at Da Nang International Airport.

In addition, she received from Mr. N.A (resident in Hoa Nhon commune, Hoa Vang district) an amount of VND 100 million and promised to ask for Mr. A to work as an airport security officer.

The case is still under further investigation.
