Da Nang offers 3-month waiver of adjacent house rents for 168 families amid COVID-19 impacts
Following recent approval by the Da Nang People's Committee, 168 families are exempt from the rent of State-owned adjacent houses.
Accordingly, each of the above-mentioned families is entitled to 3 months of rent exemption for 3 months: July, August and September 2021 with a total exempted amount of VND 49,065 million.
This humanitarian decision aims to help tenants get through the tough time triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic.
As per the request of the municipal People's Committee, the Da Nang Housing Management and Exploitation Centre will conduct the exemption of rent for the eligible households according to the regulations, and at the same time take responsibility for the data collected from this exemption scheme.
The Da Nang Centre for Housing Management and Exploitation now manages about 9,028 social housing apartments and terraced houses owned by the State, all of which are leased by those facing housing difficulties, including 1,401 civil servants, along with two students’ dormitories in the western and eastern parts of the city.
