As reported by the municipal Department of Construction, 17 downgraded collective residential buildings are located at No. 5 Nguyen Thai Hoc, 50-52 Le Lai; 42 Tran Ke Xuong, 3 Nguyen Thai Hoc, 25, 28-30, 57 and 324 Hung Vuong, 9 and 76 Tran Phu, 346-348 Phan Chau Trinh, 35 Hoang Dieu, 158B Le Loi, 22, 48, 104 and 110 Ly Thai To.
Relevant local agencies will determine the value of support for the soon-to-be-relocated families, formulate plans on land exploitation and use after the site clearance to serve the city's socio-economic development and report all of their plans to the municipal People's Committee for consideration and approval.
The Centre for Housing Management and Exploitation shall task itself with expeditiously carrying out procedures for dismantling the above-mentioned collective houses after completing the relocation of the households, proactively team with other relevant agencies to make plans and estimate the dismantling costs.
As observed, after dozens of years of survival, these collective houses have become dilapidated, over-crowded and dangerous, undermining the safety of thousands of local residents.
