A campaign to respond to the Action Month for the Environment and the Viet Nam Sea and Islands Week was launched by the Da Nang Confederation of Labour on Wednesday at the affordable housing development for workers, located in the Hoa Cam Industrial Park.

The event saw the participation of over 200 members of the Da Nang Confederation of Labour and employees living the affordable housing development.

In his speech delivered at the launching ceremony, Vice Chairman of the municipal Confederation of Labor Hoang Huu Nghi underlined the importance of the sustainable development of the marine economy, and the coordination of between countries and relevant organisations in helping revive the ocean, restoring degraded marine ecosystems, conserving marine resources and environment, building a sustainable lifestyle in harmony with nature, rationally using natural resources and biodiversity, and responding to climate change towards the building of a greener and cleaner lifestyle.

On the occasion, the municipal Confederation of Labour gave classification trash bins to its members and workers.

After the launching ceremony, Trade Union officials and members, plus workers, came out to take care of 600 green trees along roads, and clean up vacant land lots, in the Hoa Cam Industrial Park.
