68 public bicycle rental spots expected to set up in Da Nang

Mr Ho Nguyen Quoc Cuong, the Acting Director of the Da Nang Traffic Signal and Public Transport Operation Centre on Tuesday announced that the Centre is working with the Tri Nam Group Joint Stock Company and authorities in Hai Chau, Thanh Khe, Son Tra, Ngu Hanh Son and Cam Le districts to carry out site surveys on 68 locations where piloted public bicycle rental spots will be set up.

In Hai Chau District, 35 expected spots will be created, and they will be located on the following streets: Quang Trung, Hai Phong, Le Duan, Hung Vuong, Tran Phu, Bach Dang, Le Dinh Duong, Nguyen Van Linh, extended Bach Dang, Duy Tan, the Da Nang Airport site, Nui Thanh, Le Thanh Nghi, the April 30, Xo Viet Nghe Tinh, Phan Dang Luu, the September 2, Vu Duy Thanh, Ly Tu Trong, Nhu Nguyet, Phan Chau Trinh, Trung Nu Vuong, Tieu La, Nguyen Huu Tho, Nguyen Tat Thanh, the February 3.

In Son Tra District, 16 spots are expected to set up on the streets of Tran Thai Tong, Van Don, Tran Hung Dao, Pham Van Dong, Ho Nghinh, Ngo Quyen, Vu Van Dung, Vo Van Kiet and Vo Nguyen Giap.

In Thanh Khe District, 8 spots will be created on Tran Cao Van, Le Duan, Dien Bien Phu, Nguyen Tri Phuong, Le Dinh Ly and Ham Nghi streets.

In Ngu Hanh Son District, 6 spots will be set up on Vo Nguyen Giap, Nguyen Van Thoai, Mai Thuc Lan, Le Quang Dao, and Phan Hanh Son streets while the remaining 3 others will be developed in Cam Le District.

Each spot is required to span 15 to 35 square meters and accommodate 5 to 20 bikes.

The rental bikes will utilize GPS, and smart locks. Each spot will apply painted Bike Park Line Markings in order to make sure that rental bikes are lined up. The users can return the bike to finish their bike rental by placing it in the spot’s designated dock, which locks it in place.
