The Da Nang Fatherland Front Committee, on Thursday, granted scholarships, worth VND5 million each, to 70 local poor studious students.

During the 2019 - 2021 period, scholarships, totalling VND725 million, were presented to 145 local poor studious students under the ‘Scholarship support for poor studious students’ programme.

Da Nang Fatherland Front Committee Vice Chairman Duong Dinh Lieu said that the programme aimed to honour students who have made great efforts to overcome difficulties and achieve good academic results over the last school year. He also affirmed that students’ learning results were great motivation for the Fatherland Front Committees at all level to further improve their support for poor students in the time to come.
