Beach and street clean-ups carried out in Da Nang to prepare for National Day Holiday

In the past few days, thousands of people have been deployed across Da Nang to clean up beaches, urban streets, rural roads and public places in efforts to keep environment clean and beautiful to celebrate the National Day Holiday.

On Tuesday morning, a combined total of 250 people from the Management Board of the Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang Tourist Beaches, the Mobile Police Battalion, the Da Nang Police Department, the Da Nang Urban Environment Joint Stock Company and the Xuan Ha Ward People's Committee performed clean-up operations, trimmed trees and collected trash on a beach along Nguyen Tat Thanh Street.

Earlier on last Saturday and Sunday, the Da Nang Urban Environment Joint Stock Company used sweeping machines for cleaning Nguyen Tat Thanh Street and beaches located in Thanh Khe District.

Besides, the Hai Chau District Environmental Enterprise worked with the Hai Chau 2 Ward Authority to collect garbage, debris and construction waste on the sidewalks around the Chi Lang Stadium in order to maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment as well as ensure urban beauty in Da Nang’s downtown area.

The Cam Le District Environmental Enterprise cooperated with local authorities to deploy workers and use vehicles to collect bulky wastes, the backlog of garbage, and construction waste left on vacant lots , sidewalks and sparsely populated areas.

Overall, thousands of people who are war veterans, women, youth union members and others across the districts of Son Tra, Hai Chau, Ngu Hanh Son, Thanh Khe, Lien Chieu and Hoa Vang have got involved in cleaning beaches, urban streets, village roads and public places to ensure a clean and beautiful environment for local residents and tourists to celebrate the upcoming public holiday.
