Da Nang moves to guarantee power supply for National Day holiday
The Da Nang Power One Member Company Limited (Da Nang PC) said on Wednesday that it has taken measures to guarantee power supply during the National Day holiday from September 1 to 4.
The Da Nang PC is ready to operate modes of power sources and grids in normal conditions and flexibly switch in case of trouble.
Previously, the Da Nang PC has repaired, upgraded and maintained power grids, as well as installed more Recloser and LBS in the downtown districts of Hai Chau, Lien Chieu and Son Tra.
The focus has been on increasing checks to deal with shortcomings of power facilities and coordinate with local authorities and armed forces to protect the system’s safety and prevent fires or explosions.
During this year's National Day holiday, the electricity consumption maximum capacity citywide is expected to reach about 350MW, up 26% over the same period in 2021. Meanwhile, the power output is likely to hit nearly about 7.5 million kWh, up 34% over the same period.
The Da Nang PC has assured that there will be no power cuts in Da Nang from September 1 to 4 - the period encompassing the upcoming National Day holiday, except for cases under which power must be cut off for troubleshooting or as required.
