Digital transformation trends in media discussed in Da Nang

The Da Nang Journalists' Association worked with the Da Nang University of Education on Tuesday morning to hold a seminar which revolved around on digital innovations in media agencies. The event was attended by leaders of media agencies, journalism lecturers and reporters across the city.

In his remarks at the event, Mr Nguyen Duc Nam, the Chairman of the Da Nang Journalists' Association and Editor-in-Chief of the Da Nang Newspaper said that the seminar was considered as a professional exchange program for journalists across the city, and it provided the opportunity for local media staff to discuss ways to promote appropriate media use in today's multimedia digital media environment.

Mr Nam also highlighted the significance of digital media use in media agencies in optimizing their efficiency and better serve their customers by automating data collection and other tasks.

Digital innovations across both printed and digital versions of the Da Nang Newspaper were introduced to the seminar’s participants.

Mr Nam remarked that the Da Nang Newspaper along with other press agencies in the whole country have been active in learning from each other in a bid to adapt and embrace digital transformation and meet the changing needs of their readers.

Also at the seminar, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duc An from UK’s Bourmouth University briefed the participants on changes in media in Viet Nam and the world as a whole in the digital transformation context. He also affirmed that digital transformation plays an important role in media agencies to save costs, increase revenues and improve engagement with their readers. He also noted that digital transformation is the vital key to the development of the country’s press/media agencies.
