Environmental protection activities organised in Da Nang

Environmental protection activities were implemented across Da Nang on August 20 and 21 with a focus on collecting recyclables in a bid to promote waste source separation.

In detail, the ‘Environment Day 2022’ which featured 18 booths displaying and introducing environmental protection activities, selling recycled items, and exchanging recyclable trash for cash, ornamental plants and gifts were organised in Hai Chau District.

Also at the event, the Hai Chau District People's Committee presented 5 recycling collection vehicles, and awarded prizes for winners of a Short Film Making Contest to promote environmental protection, as well as organised a contest to promote environmental awareness and promote residents to implement domestic waste classification behavior, and more.

The Hoa Vang District Office of Natural Resources and Environment in collaboration with the district’s Youth Union and local Office of Education and Training held a contest called ‘Ring the Golden Bell Challenge on Environmental Protection and Climate Change". The competion saw the participation of more than 100 school pupils across the district.

Authorities in wards, associations and organizations across Son Tra District launched an array of events and activities to raise awareness about environmental issues among local residents. Included were the ‘Green, Clean, Beautiful Sunday’ movement, recycling collection for local social welfare program, the removal of illegal classified advertisements from local streets, and cleanup operations in schools.

Members of Environmental Clubs under War Veterans Associations in Hoa Vang and Cam Le districts at all levels got involved in clearing the backlog of waste around their local areas.
