Han River Bridge to be closed to traffic for 15 days for repairs and maintenance
The Han River Bridge will be closed to traffic for 15 days to make repairs and maintain rotating bridge mechanism system, according to the Da Nang Department of Transportation.

Accordingly, vehicles will be banned from crossing the bridge from 11:00pm - 5:00am (except Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays) to raise and lower the bridge structure.
During the 15-day period, traffic will be detoured via the Thuan Phuoc and Rong (Dragon) bridges.
The city’s Transport Infrastructure Management Centre will install remote traffic rearrangement signs for vehicles to follow during the bridge closure period.
The Han River Bridge is considered as the symbol and the great pride of Da Nang. The bridge, the first of its kind in Viet Nam, is the first swing bridge designed and constructed by Vietnamese engineers and workers.
The 11-span bridge is 487.7m long and 12.9m wide, connecting Hai Chau District with Son Tra District.
Since it was officially opened to traffic in 2000, the bridge not only facilitates transport, promotes the development of tourism, and stimulates rapid growth on the eastern bank of the Han River and along the coast, but also is a cultural hallmark of the people of Da Nang today left behind for the future generations.
