In today's society, healthy drinks are preferred by many people because they not only adds many essential minerals and vitamins to their own body but also help to improve physique, strengthen resistance, and prevent disease effectively. Healthy beverages include vegetable juices, vegan green smoothies, nutritious nut milk, and detox water (combining drinking water and low-sugar vegetables).

Ms. Ngo Thi Nguyet, the owner of Ms Juice shop located on 25 Yen Bai, Hai Chau District, recommended that in addition to drinking vegetable juice regularly, it should be consistent with a healthy diet, limiting intake of fat, starch and sugar, not staying up late and doing exercise properly to lose weight effectively.

The best time to drink juice is in the morning right after juicing to preserve the most vitamins, and drink it 30 minutes before meal or 30 minutes after a light meal and one hour after a full meal.

“It took me 14 days to follow the diet as well as do exercise, so I lost nearly 3kg. Since then, I have been addicted to organic juice and started to do business with such healthy drinks, "said Nguyet.

Huynh Ba Thao Uyen, an employee of the Vinfast Manufacturing & Trading Co., Ltd., who has been using healthy drinks for 3 years, remarked in the first 7 days, she replaced regular meals with a special low-calorie diet but 16 times richer in vitamins and enzymes from fresh fruits and vegetable juices. The amount of micronutrients from vegetables loaded into the body will burn fat and eliminate toxins, and at the same time purify and regenerate cells.

In a similar vein, Mrs. To Thi Nga, Head of Administration Office of a company based on April 30 Street in Hoa Cuong Bac Ward started her new day with a healthy drink with one kiwi, a half of bell pepper, a quarter of pineapple,  two thirds of celery stalks and one guava. After 2 months, she felt that her body was lighter, and her work efficiency was also better.

In fact, such common cooking methods as stir-frying, grilling, roasting and boiling make most vitamins and enzymes of green vegetables be decomposed under the influence of heat, so they are no longer pure. Therefore, drinking fresh juice helps the body absorb almost all nutrients and minerals in their original form. For those who are new to healthy beverages should squeeze more fruits than vegetables to make it easier to drink. However, green juices are still recommended to be added more.  In order to create a special juice, some herbs such as ginger, lemongrass, turmeric, garlic, cinnamon, basil and rosemary leaves should be included.

Doctor Nguyen Phan Minh Chau from the Department of Paediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition under the Da Nang Maternity and Paediatrics Hospital emphasised that fruits and vegetables are very good for health. Most fruit and vegetable juices have vitamins, minerals and antioxidants that can reduce the risk of cancer, boost the immune system, remove toxins from the body, aid digestion and help lose weight.

“If you don't like to eat fruits or vegetables directly, juice is one of the best options to help your body get the right amount of vitamins and minerals. However, people with a history of diabetes should not use some vegetables such as beets and carrots because of their high sugar content, which can lead to digestive disorders and high blood sugar," said doctor Nguyen Phan Minh Chau.
