The banned vehicles as mentioned above included motorbikes, those carrying livestock and poultry, and transporting flammable and explosive materials.
Particularly, at the Hoa Lien checkpoint, 1,977 motorbikes and 195 vehicles carrying animals, oversized vehicles, and trucks carrying explosive goods were detected. Meanwhile, at the Mui Trau road tunnel, competent units caught red-handed 333 vehicles of all kinds that were not allowed to circulate on the route and through this tunnel.
In addition to arranging checkpoints, functional forces have stepped up regular patrol to detect any cases under which local residents living along the route arbitrarily dismantle the protective fence in order to cross the route that is potentially dangerous to traffic safety.
The La Son - Hoa Lien section which belongs to the over VND11 trillion La Son - Tuy Loan expressway connecting Thua Thien - Hue Province and Da Nang was officially opened to traffic in April.
