The Da Nang Department of Natural Resources and the Environment, the municipal associations of Architects, and Nature and Environmental Protection have together entered into a joint programme on environmental protection and climate change response in the city in the 2022 – 2027 period. The highly practical move aims to contribute to concretising Viet Nam's commitments at the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26).

The content of the programme aims to promote coordination activities in the implementation of solutions that contribute to environmental protection and response to climate change in the 2022 - 2027 period, hereby contributing to achieving long-term goals that Viet Nam set out at COP 26.

At the same time, the programme will help improve the role and position of associations in environmental protection and climate change response in the city, create a positive change in the awareness and responsibility of the above-mentioned agencies’ staff members in urban management, environmental protection, climate change mitigation.

The signitories will make joint efforts to implement projects and initiatives on such targets as emission reduction, circular economy, green growth in line with the characteristics of the current situation and towards the goals of building Da Nang into an environmentally-friendly city.
