The Da Nang administration has issued a written request to functional agencies to continue improving the effectiveness of the prevention and combat of hi-tech crimes and black credit.

Under the municipal authorities’ guidance, focus is placed on stepping up the prevention, detection and fight against crimes using high technology and black credit in tandem with raising legal awareness and people's high sense of vigilance against this type of crime and warn against methods and tricks used by fraudsters.  

In particular, telecommunications businesses are recommended to strictly implement the management of prepaid mobile subscribers, handle spam sims, and  prevent websites, keywords related to black credit in cyberspace and Voice-IP phone numbers from abroad from making calls to illegally appropriate property.
Besides, the management of lending activities at financial companies must be tightened whilst the handling of cases under which bogus enterprises "hide" in the shadow of financial companies to run black credit traps.

According to the Da Nang police, over the past time, the situation of hi-tech crimes in the city has been complicated and tends to go upwards. The city has witnessed the presence of fraudulent tricks in cyberspace such as impersonating police officers, prosecutors, bank staff, electricity workers and network operators to commit acts of illegally appropriating social network accounts, e-wallets, bank accounts and enticing people to invest in virtual currency exchanges, foreign exchange floors or invest in digital currency mining. 

In addition, there are more and more online loan applications with many variable regulations on interest rates such as high service fees, and in many cases, the cumulative interest rate is up to 2,000%/year.
Since the start of 2022, the Da Nang Police has handled 62 reports and denunciations of hi-tech crimes, thereby prosecuting against 11 cases involving with 16 persons.
