Da Nang Newspaper wins 3 prizes at writing contest about good people and good deeds
Reporters from the Da Nang Newspaper have won 1 first and 2 second prizes in the category of professional authors at a writing contest about models and examples of good people and good deeds in the movement of workers, officials and labourers in Da Nang.

Specifically, reporter Tran Thi Kim Phuong has won the first prize for her article ‘Asserting the role of protecting workers’. Meanwhile, the second prizes have gone to reporters Bui Ngoc Phu and Phung Xuan Hau for ‘The trade unions accompany with the development of the city’ and ‘A young teacher tries to overcome adversity to give strengths to cancer patients’ articles respectively.
The information was released at the awards ceremony of the writing contest held by the municipal Confederation of Labour on Saturday morning.
In his remarks at the awards ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Duy Minh, the Chairman of the Da Nang Confederation of Labour, said after nearly 3 months of being launched, the contest attracted a total of 131 entries involved in journalism fields, namely print, radio and television. 26 of them came from reporters and journalists, and the remainder from trade union members and officials.
All of the entries expressed the desire to replicate the models and examples of good people and good deeds in the movement of workers, officials and labourers citywide, said Chairman Minh.

In the category of non-professional writer, the contest’s organisers gave out 1 first, 2 second, 3 third and 5 consolation prizes to outstanding entries.
On the occasion, the 2nd edition of the writing contest was launched. The Da Nang Labour Federation gave financial support under the ‘Trade Union houses’ programme to 43 members facing housing difficulty.
