Noru made landfall in the parts from Da Nang to Quang Nam early Wednesday morning. Damaging wind gusts, flooding, and power outages impacted most of the the city.

Individuals and organizations across Da Nang are being encouraged to help those impacted by Hurricane Noru following the recent direction from the municipal government . In addition, they are encouraged to join efforts with authorities at local level and relevant units to conduct cleanup activities.

Further more, the Da Nang government urged relevant agencies to complete the removal and cleanup of downed trees and branches no later than 5:00pm on Saturday, October 1. Importance should be attached to completing streetlight repairs before 5:00pm on Friday, September 30.

The municipal Department of Natural Resources and Environment is tasked to work with relevant agencies to complete storm cleanups before Friday, September 30.

The municipal Department of Construction has the responsibility for the completion of public drinking water supply restoration before 8:00 pm today, September 28 while making sure that the city’s drainage system continues to run smoothly after the storm.

The Da Nang Electricity One Member Company Limited is asked to complete power restoration in affected areas after major outages caused by the storm before 5:00 pm on Thursday, September 29. Furthermore, the municipal Department of Finance will take all necessary measures to ensure price stabilization in the market after the storm.

The muncipal Department of Transport has the responsibility to take effective measures to fix the damage caused by the storm that left roads damaged in the city.

The municipal Department of Agriculture and Rural Development will work with relevant units to recover damages and losses to the city's agricultural sector as a result of storm Noru.

Special attention should be paid to restoring telecommunications in the city before 2:00 pm on Thursday, September 29.

Da Nang police and military personnel were deployed across the city to join efforts with relevant units to complete removal of fallen trees by 2:00pm today, September 28. 

The municipal Department of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs will coordinate with relevant agencies to ensure that those affected by the storm access timely financial support from the municipal administration.
