Over recent years, traffic congestion has been increasing during rush hours at the intersection north of the Hoa Xuan Bridge in Da Nang (Le Thanh Nghi - Le Thanh Nghi - Cach Mang Thang Tam - Thang Long - approach road to Hoa Xuan Bridge).

In an effort to solve the problem, the Da Nang Department of Transport has proposed a number of temporary solutions to rearrange traffic in a bid to eliminate the intersections at the western end of the Hoa Xuan Bridge during rush hours.

Specifically, movable barriers will be arranged and soft dividers will be installed in the direction of Hoa Xuan Bridge - Le Thanh Nghi Street. Meanwhile, the Thang Long Street will be closed to traffic during rush hours from 6:30am - 8:30am, and 4:30pm - 6:00pm.

Also, heed will be on adding about 50m of soft rubber poles on the road connecting to the intersection of Cach Mang Thang Tam Street and Hoa Xuan Bridge, and installing traffic signs in the area for road users to follow.

For long-term solutions, the municipal Department of Transport will coordinate with relevant agencies and localities to study a number of options to effectively tackle the problem.

Up to now, the Department has installed signs prohibiting cars from traveling during the rush hours and from turning left onto the Hoa Xuan Bridge from the Thang Long Street.
