The Da Nang Youth Union, the municipal Youth Association and the municipal Department of Natural Resources and Environment jointly organised the ‘Religious Youth Act Together for the Environment 2022’ Festival on Sunday with the participation of nearly 500 young people.

Also at the programme, the municipal Youth Union launched the ‘Religious youth act together for a green - clean - beautiful environment’ movement.

Also, a drawing contest entitled ‘For a green city’, a contest called 'Ring the Golden Bell to learn about environmental knowledge, and other exciting folk games were organised.

On this occasion, the municipal Youth Union and its chapters at district level gave means of livelihood, totalling more than VND112 million, to young religious followers in difficult circumstances.

Secretary of the Da Nang Youth Union Nguyen Manh Dung remarked that the festival aimed to raise awareness among young religious followers about the importance of protecting the environment and responding to climate change, as well as educate them to reduce the use of single-use plastic and change the habit of classifying solid and hazardous waste at source.

Also, it provided an opportunity for the participants to exchange and connect with each other, thereby promoting strength and consensus in building Da Nang into an environmentally friendly city.
