Rains expected to end in Da Nang on Wednesday

Moderate to heavy rain at most places with isolated very heavy rainfall is likely to occur in Southern Nghe An, Ha Tinh and Quang Binh from Tuesday into Wednesday night, According to Viet Nam’s National Center for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting.

As per national weather service, the parts from Quang Tri to Binh Thuan, including Da Nang, are expected to receive moderate to heavy rains through today but rain will end by Wednesday over these areas, including Da Nang. Meanwhile, showers and scattered thunderstorms with localised heavy rain are likely over Central Highlands and southern region.

From Thursday into Friday morning, heavy rain is expected for North Central Coast and is likely to hit the delta and coastal areas of the Northern region. The total rainfall amount will be 30mm to 80mm in common in these areas while more than 100mm of rain could fall in some places.

Thunderstorms can produce tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong winds in the warning areas. Forecasters have also issued warnings of flash floods and landslides for mountainous areas in the affected parts, and localized flooding alerts are in place in low-lying and riverside areas.
