Three policemen successfully saved a junior high school pupil from drowning at a lake in Hoa Tien Commune, Hoa Vang District, Da Nang, on Thursday afternoon.

After receiving a report about a 12-year-old pupil of the Nguyen Phu Huong Junior High School going to drown at the Martyrs’ Cemetery Lake in Hoa Tien Commune, Senior Lieutenant Ngo Ngoc Phu, Captain Tran Quang Vinh and Senior Lieutenant Tran Huu Tuyet, all from the Hoa Tien Commune Police Division, immediately carried out rescue operations.

Then, the policemen and Mr. Nguyen Duc Thuan, a resident of Yen Ne 1 Village, immediately performed CPR on the victim to revive him.

After seeing the pupil breathed again and was out of danger, the policemen and local residents took him to the nearest medical facility for emergency treatment.

The family of the victim then met with the three policemen and expressed their deep gratitude to them for their quickness and bravery.
