Miss Viet Nam 2022 wishes to promote image of Da Nang to international friends
Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy, a student from the University of Foreign Language Studies - the University of Da Nang University, was crowned Miss Viet Nam 2022 in late December 2022.
Most recently, the Da Nang-born girl has returned to her hometown to celebrate Tet. During her recent interview with our reporter, Thuy shared about her life and her upcoming plans.

About one month after being crowned Miss Viet Nam 2022, Thuy's life has changed a lot. Thuy has been able to set foot in a completely new environment and has had many opportunities to challenge herself in new roles that she has not experienced before.
“I can go to more places and do meaningful activities to contribute to the community. After just over a month, I have found myself growing up much faster” Thuy said.
Thuy felt very proud when she brought glory to her hometown of Da Nang, her family and other beloved ones.
The girl understood that once she becomes a public figure, she will have to face a lot of different invisible pressures. However, she will still maintain a positive energy source, accept constructive comments and contributions, and ignore criticisms and misjudgments about herself.
Thuy informed that, over the past month, she has carried out a number of charity projects not only in Da Nang but also in such provinces as Dong Thap and Khanh Hoa. Prominent among them was the largest-scale project named ‘Happy Tet’ in Ho Chi Minh City with the participation of most of beauties under the Golden Lotus Company. During the project, Thuy had the opportunity to exchange and give Tet gifts to 500 disadvantaged children in Ho Chi Minh City.
In the coming time, the Da Nang girl intends to use her influence to promote the image of her hometown Da Nang to domestic and international friends.
Miss Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy won the second prize at the municipal - level Literature Contest for Excellent Pupils in 2016, and silver medal in the Young Fashion Competition at the Da Nang Spring Flower Festival 2019. She was crowned Miss Student of the University of Foreign Language Studies – the University of Da Nang 2021, and became the first runner-up in Miss Student Da Nang 2021. She won an entrance scholarship to the University of Foreign Language Studies and is one of 36 excellent students to have the opportunity to participate in the student exchange programme with the Ubon Ratchathani University, Thailand. |
