Da Nang police offer free porridge for poor workers
Once a month, police in Hoa Thuan Dong Ward, Hai Chau District, Da Nang, cook and offer free porridge to low-income earners in the locality.

The aforementioned meaningful activity has been deployed by police in Hoa Thuan Dong Ward since mid-2022.
Initially, the funding for the activity was donated by local police. Later, the action is widely spread on social network sites, especially Facebook, which draws much attention and support from many sponsors and business households across the ward.
As recorded on the evening of March 19, police in Hoa Thuan Dong Ward cooked and provided more than 50 free portions of porridge with fruits and bottles of water to needy people in the locality. In addition to porridge, the police officers often offer free portions of rice, ‘pho’ (noodle soup) and ‘bun’ (rice vermicelli).
Holding a bowl of hot porridge, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Mui, 54, temporarily residing in Hoa Thuan Dong Ward, confided “Such free meals are really meaningful for me because I go to sell lottery tickets; sometimes I have nothing to eat all day”.
Talking about this activity, Major Le Xuan Tien, Deputy Head of the Police Division in Hoa Thuan Dong Ward, Hai Chau District, shared "Hopefully in the coming time, the charity activity will attract the participation of many sponsors and generous donors. From there, more free meals will be provided for the needy".
