Chairman of the Hoa Vang District People’s Committee Phan Van Ton informed that under the direction of the municipal authorities, the city's specialised project management boards are developing subdivision planning projects in the district.

Currently, 12 subdivision planning projects are being implemented, whilst many projects are in the completion stage.

To be more specific to the set target, the district issued Resolution No. 09-NQ/HU dated October 25, 2022 on the master plan to develop Hoa Vang district into an urban area with its own identity by 2030, with a vision towards 2045. In which, the most highlight of the master plan is to the construction of 2-3 ecological and hillside urban areas in the locality.

Specifically, the planning of the hillside urban subdivision and the western ecological subdivision are the most specific and clear projects, creating the highlight contributing to the construction of Hoa Vang as an ecological urban area. These projects are being completed. Currently, many investors are interested in exploring investment opportunities.

In which, as for the ecological urban construction planning, the district People's Committee has completed the formulation of such projects as making the planning of the 164ha Khe Ram tourist subdivision in Hoa Bac Commune, a 339ha tourist subdivision along National Highway 14G in Hoa Phu Commune which gathers tourist attractions for adventure tourism and eco-tourism, a 217.5 ha Bac River tourism subdivision bordering the Cu De River to develop resort and eco-picnic area in associated with the conservation in basins of Cu De River and Bac River. Additionally, community tourism culture projects will focus on Ta Lang and Gian Bi villages.

In the planning project of a 1,295.5ha tourism subdivision at the top and bottom of the Ba Na Mountain in Hoa Phu and Hoa Ninh communes, top priority will be given to building commercial works, general entertainment services and theme parks, as well as developing eco-tourism in combination with low density of stay, associated with biodiversity conservation.

Moreover, the locality is making the planning of hillside urban subdivision in Hoa Ninh, Hoa Son, Hoa Nhon and Hoa Phu communes with an expected population size of about 270,000 people by 2030.

In terms of function, this is a new urban area in the western area of a bypass to the south of the Hai Van Tunnel. There will be a non-tariff commercial urban area at the end of Hoang Van Thai Street, a defence and security area, a fitness and sports centre associated with convalescence and health rehabilitation functions, public parks, a cultural - entertainment area associated with camping, convalescence and medical treatment, a logistic centre west of the Hoa Nhon Industrial Park, and a Hoa Son split stone craft village.

The hillside urban subdivision which belongs to the 5-year planning phase (2025-2030) will consider the redevelopment and density of the current urban area of Da Nang in order to optimise the city’s development.

Also during the phase, some important infrastructure projects in the city will be put into use, including the North-South Expressway, the western ring road, the high-speed railway line, and the new railway station in a bid to serve the  management of urban construction, and the implementation of construction investment projects to meet the needs of socio-economic development in planned areas in particular and the city in general.

Hoa Vang District's development orientation towards eco-urban, hillside urban area with its own identity has been stated very specifically. In order to well fulfill tasks, the district authorities have been proactive and drastic by issuing specific resolutions and plans. However, to achieve the goals, the district is in need of the support and help from relevant departments and agencies, and the municipal government, Chairman Ton emphasised.
