About 300 members from universities, colleges and schools across Da Nang actively joined the ‘Clean up Son Tra - for a Green Son Tra’ launched by the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches.

Union members pick up trash on Le Van Luong Street in Son Tra District and many areas in the Son Tra Peninsula.

The move shows a fact that not everyone can do big things, but they can all do small things with a big love for the peninsula that is regarded as the city’s ‘green lungs’.

The volunteers participating in this highly practical programme are provided with tools to conduct waste collection along Le Van Luong route to Nam beach area off Son Tra Peninsula.

Mr. Phan Minh Hai, Deputy Director of the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches said: "Through this activity, I hope locals and tourists who come the Son Tra peninsula for travel experience to join hands to protect the Son Tra ecosystem by putting garbage in the right place and not feeding monkeys, for the sake of a green - clean - beautiful Son Tra peninsula environment".
