Hailing from Dien Ban Town, Quang Nam Province, Mrs. Khue graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Education and was recruited at the Tuoi Tho Kindergarten in Hoa Minh Ward, Lien Chieu District, Da Nang in 2002.

However, she decided to work for the Hoa Bac Kindergarten after she had the opportunity to go to visit the place.

“When visiting the school, I felt the innocence and lack of Co Tu children, I loved them very much. After being "invited" by my colleagues to teach in Hoa Bac Commune, I have decided to work here since then" Mrs. Khue recalled.

Mrs. Khue was assigned to teach at the school site in Ta Lang Village and then in Gian Bi Village. The biggest barrier in the early years when teaching and taking care of Co Tu preschoolers is language.

“Honestly, I have pedagogical knowledge and skills to teach preschoolers, but for the children of Co Tu ethnic minority people, at first, I did not understand the language, facing many difficulties in child care and education” she said.

With her great efforts and perseverance, Mrs. Khue was able to update her own Co Tu language, thereby making the education and care of children more convenient.

After the language barrier was handled, the teacher focused on educating children to develop skills. In order to effectively implement her educational programme, she developed a number of projects "Language development for children through music activities", "Language development for children through literary activities", and “A number of measures to improve Vietnamese language for ethnic minority children in kindergartens”.

Since 2014, she has actively got involved in designing electronic lectures to serve teaching and learning activities.

Her projects have helped to improve teaching and learning, especially helping Co Tu children to become fluent in Vietnamese language, as well as to enhance the quality of care and education for ethnic minority children.

With her dedicated efforts, over the past 20 years, Mrs. Khue has achieved many outstanding titles such as excellent teacher at district and municipal levels, as well as won high prizes for district and municipal-level initiatives.

However, for her, the biggest reward she has received is the love of parents and pupils, and the respect and the recognition of leaders of the school, and the education and training department.

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Bich Khue shared that, in the time to come, she continues teaching children in mountainous areas, so that they can receive knowledge and develop like their friends in the city center.
